Gilded supports a variety of blockchains, tokens, and currencies. For transactions that take place on any unsupported networks, Gilded still allows full accounting functionality with our handy CSV import tool.

This article will cover the following points of information:

  • Reports page at a glance

  • Importing 4 different types of CSV files: Standard Gilded CSV, Bitstamp CSV, Coinbase Pro CSV, and Koinly

  • Viewing, downloading, and deleting past imports/exports

  • Reverting past imports

Reports Page Layout

The reports page is designed for simplicity, allowing Gilded users to view the Import/Export Transactions History list. In this list, Gilded gives a categorical overview of each file: process type, file name, file extension, file size, transaction count, duration, created time, and status. The default setting lists the files beginning with the most recently imported or exported. Files can also be sorted by clicking the categorization tabs located at the top of the diagram. Use the navigation arrows at the bottom right of the page to hop to the next/previous/first/last pages.

Using The CSV Import Tool

To import a formatted CSV file of your crypto transactions, begin by clicking on the “Import” button located at the top right portion of the page.

This will trigger a popup that requires you to choose which type of formatted file you wish to import. There are 4 formats: Gilded Standard CSV, Bitstamp CSV, Coinbase Pro CSV, and Koinly CSV. Click the “Download Sample Format” link on the appropriate format to view each corresponding sample CSV file.

Once you have selected which type of format to import, you will be prompted to upload the proper CSV file from your device. You will also have to choose an account to associate the upload to. You can select an account used from a previous import or you can type in the name of a new account. After you have uploaded your CSV file and chosen a corresponding account, you can click the “Start Importing” button to begin your import. Check out our helpful article for more information on CSV formatting and importing best practices.

As soon as the import is completed, it will show up at the top of the Import/Export Transactions History list. All transactions included in the completed import will now have full accounting functionality within Gilded and are available to view in the Activity page.

Check out our Acivity Page Overview article for more information on how to export a CSV of your transactions from Gilded.

Downloading Copies of Imports/Exports

To download a copy of your imports or exports, click on the adjacent download button next to the chosen file.

Reverting Imported Files

If you would like to revert your imported transactions, click on the circular arrow symbol next to the chosen file. Reverting an import will completely remove all included transactions from Gilded Activity view.

A warning box will pop up upon clicking the revert button, informing the user that all transactions associated with the import will be removed from Gilded.

Note: Once transactions are synced with QuickBooks; Gilded cannot remove them. An import revert will only remove transactions from the Gilded Activity view and NOT from Quickbooks.

Deleting An Import/Export

To delete a file in the Reports page, simply click on the trash icon next to the chosen import/export. A warning box will appear and you will have to confirm the deletion of the selected file.

That’s all you need to know for the Gilded Reports page! You can now confidently begin to upload and export any and all files necessary.
