The Accounts module is the one-stop shop to add new wallets or exchanges, sync existing accounts to Gilded, and track the values of your various accounts. In our case, the word “Account” means any wallet, exchange, or blockchain that is synced to Gilded.
In this article, we’ll cover:
The Accounts Module at a glance
Understanding each individual Account
How to add a new Account
Accounts at a Glance
When you are logged into Gilded, click on Accounts in the main menu.
You can do a few primary actions from the Accounts page in Gilded:
Review the value and status of each Account in Gilded
Sync and reconfigure Accounts
Add new Accounts
The value of your Account shown here is based on the collective spot prices of every asset in that particular Account. Along with seeing the value of each Account, you can also copy your public address to share with others or re-name an Account to better reflect what’s inside.
Many companies have $0 Accounts that they just use for making periodic payments. If you only want to see Accounts with value on them, you have the option to hide these small value ($0.00) Accounts.
Lastly, at the top of the page, you can add new Accounts (we’ll cover this later) and sync existing Accounts. Although Gilded automatically refreshes data about your Accounts whenever you visit the Activity view, some users want to refresh this manually. To do this, you can click “Sync Accounts” from the Accounts view and watch your transactions update in the Activity view.
Understanding Individual Accounts
Next, let’s take a peek under the hood of a specific Account. Click on an Account to see more details on what is inside that particular Account.
At the top, you will see the type of wallet, the public blockchain address, and access to the block explorer for this Account. You can also click “See Transactions” to see each transaction on the Gilded Activity page.
Scrolling down, you can see each asset held by this Account, how much is held, the current price (which is updated periodically from Crypto Compare), the percentage each asset represents of your portfolio, and finally the current value of each asset.
How to Add New Accounts
Many businesses use more than one Account (wallet or exchange) while operating with cryptocurrency. Whether you’re connecting an exchange or importing a CSV, adding a new Account in Gilded is simple with just a few clicks.
Click Add Account on the Accounts page.
Choose between Connect Wallet, Connect Custodian, Input Address, and Import Only Account. Let’s take a look at each:
Connect Wallet: Choose from 12 wallets including Metamask, Ledger, and Gnosis Safe to connect and sync a non-custodial wallet.
Input Address: If you’re adding Accounts from Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Ronin, or Bitcoin xPub, you will need to input the wallet address. Alternatively, you can input an Ethereum address from a wallet we might not support. Important: Do not use a smart contract or an exchange account receive address for the Input Address tool. Gilded will not be able to correctly read or display your activity.
Import Only Account: Use this option if you need to upload a CSV of your blockchain or exchange’s transactions. You can choose from a number of CSV sample formats including the Gilded Standard CSV, Bitstamp CSV, Coinbase Pro CSV, and Koinly CSV.
Once you add a new Account, that particular Account’s transactions will start automatically uploading in the Activity page.
