The Wallet module is the one-stop shop to add new wallets or exchanges, sync existing wallets to Gilded, and track the values of your various accounts.

In this article, we’ll cover:

  • The Wallet Module at a glance

  • Understanding each individual wallet

  • How to add a new wallet

Wallets at a Glance

When you are logged into Gilded, click on Wallets in the main menu.

You can do a few primary actions from the Wallets page in Gilded:

  1. Review the value and status of each Wallet in Gilded

  2. Sync and reconfigure Wallets

  3. Add new Wallets

The value of your Wallet shown here is based on the collective spot prices of every asset in that particular Wallett. Along with seeing the value of each, you can also copy your public address to share with others or re-name to better reflect what’s inside.

Many companies have $0 Wallets that they just use for making periodic payments. If you only want to see Wallets with value on them, you have the option to hide these small value ($0.00) Wallets.

Lastly, at the top of the page, you can add new Wallets (we’ll cover this later) and sync existing Wallets. Although Gilded automatically refreshes data about your Wallets whenever you visit the Activity view, some users want to refresh this manually. To do this, you can click “Sync Wallets” from the Wallets view and watch your transactions update in the Activity view.

Understanding Individual Wallets

Next, let’s take a peek under the hood of a specific Wallet. Click on an Wallet to see more details on what is inside that particular Wallet.

At the top, you will see the type of wallet, the public blockchain address, and access to the block explorer for this Wallet. You can also click “See Transactions” to see each transaction on the Gilded Activity page.

Scrolling down, you can see each asset held by this Wallet, how much is held, the current price (which is updated periodically from Crypto Compare), the percentage each asset represents of your portfolio, and finally the current value of each asset.

How to Add New Wallets

Many businesses use more than one Wallet while operating with cryptocurrency. Whether you’re connecting an exchange or importing a CSV, adding a new Wallet in Gilded is simple with just a few clicks.

  1. Click Add Wallet on the Wallets page.

  2. Choose between Connect Wallet, Connect Custodian, Input Address, and Import Only Account. Let’s take a look at each:

    1. Connect Wallet: Choose from 12 wallets including Metamask, Ledger, and Gnosis Safe to connect and sync a non-custodial wallet.

    2. Connect Custodian: Perfect for connecting your Coinbase or Kraken account (more direct exchange integrations coming soon).

    3. Input Address: If you’re adding Accounts from Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Ronin, or Bitcoin xPub, you will need to input the wallet address. Alternatively, you can input an Ethereum address from a wallet we might not support. Important: Do not use a smart contract or an exchange account receive address for the Input Address tool. Gilded will not be able to correctly read or display your activity.

    4. Import Only Wallet: Use this option if you need to upload a CSV of your blockchain or exchange’s transactions. You can choose from a number of CSV sample formats including the Gilded Standard CSV, Bitstamp CSV, Coinbase Pro CSV, and Koinly CSV.

  3. Once you add a new Wallet, that particular Wallet’s transactions will start automatically uploading in the Activity page.

That's everything you need to know for the Wallets module.
