Q: Why does Gilded list a different spot price than Etherscan (or any other blockchain explorer)?

A: In the case of Etherscan, they show the current value of the transaction, not the value at the time the transaction occurred. You must click on the price to see the actual value at the time it was executed. See screenshots below for reference.

In most cases, whether with Etherscan or any other blockchain explorer, any difference in value is no more than pennies. This is because Gilded uses CryptoCompare as our data provider. Their spot pricing is the most consistent in the industry and their spot price methodology is public.
