Learn how to add, edit, and view your contacts and their wallet addresses.

Gilded’s Contact page features a simple layout and design for optimum usability. In this article, we’ll show you:

  • The visual layout of the Contacts page

  • How to add a contact/wallet address

  • How to view the details of a contact/wallet address

  • How to edit the details of a contact/wallet address

Gilded Contacts Page Layout

The Contacts page lists all of the contacts you have in Gilded. At a glance, users can see the contact name, email, EIN/VAT#, and wallet blockchain. By default, contacts are listed by name in alphabetical order. To prioritize the listing of contacts by email, EIN/VAT#, or wallet, simply click on the corresponding categorization tab. Use the navigation arrows at the bottom right portion of the page to hop to the next/previous/first/last page of contacts.

Adding Contacts in Gilded

To add a new contact/wallet address:

  1. Click on the “+ Add Contact” button in the top right portion of the Contacts page. This will take you to the Create Contact form, which features three informational tabs: Contact Details, Wallets, and QuickBooks Sync (Compass users only).

  2. Click on Contact Details.

  3. In the Contact Details tab, you can enter a contact name, email, phone, physical address, EIN/VAT#, and customer ID.

Pro Tips: Don’t forget to click “Save Changes” before navigating to another page! Also, “Contact name” is the only required field; all others are optional.

In the Wallets tab, you can enter the contact’s Ethereum and/or Bitcoin address. Double check to make sure you’ve entered the correct address, and don’t forget to click the “Save Changes” button before exiting or navigating to another page.

In the QuickBooks Sync tab (for Compass users only), you can map a contact to a specific Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks. This feature allows our users to customize their mappings to Quickbooks in the most specific and efficient way possible. Be sure to carefully plan how you want to map and label each category, and, as always, don’t forget to click the “Save Changes” button before exiting or navigating to the next page.

Viewing/Editing/Deleting Contacts

To see a contact’s details, click on the corresponding 🛈 button to view all available information. To edit to a contact’s information, click on the corresponding 🖉 button to change or add details in the Contact Details, Wallets, and/or QuickBooks Sync tabs. To delete a contact, click on the corresponding 🗑 button. A confirmation message will appear and you will have to confirm before a contact can be removed.
